DEFENDANTS IN CIVIL ACTION FILED BY SULLIVAN AND GRABER PLEAD GUILTY TO PAYING KICKBACKS IN EXCHANGE FOR REFERRALS

Ata “Danny” Chaudry and Tariq Din pled guilty last month to paying more than $850,000.00 combined to more than 15 physicians and other professionals in exchange for referrals to their MRI facilities. Ata “Danny” Chaudry owns MRNJ Newark, MRNJ Oradell and Hudson Radiology Center. Tariq Din owns Clifton Imaging Center also known as Open MRI of Clifton. Sullivan and Graber has instituted an action against both of these individuals who committed violations of the New Jersey Insurance Fraud Prevention Act and the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute. Sullivan and Graber has also recently filed suit against chiropractor, Dr. Ronald Hayek who pled guilty on July 21, 2016 to accepting tens of thousands of dollars in kickbacks from Mohammed Shamshair, Dr. Manoj Patharkar, Tariq Din and others, in exchange for referring patients to their facilities. Dr. Hayek also admitted to paying bribes to attorneys in exchange for referrals of clients to his medical practice. Dr. Kesnold Baptiste was recently accused of accepting tens of thousands of dollars in bribes from Ata “Danny” Chaudry.
